DermEngine Integration for Medtech Evolution

This page explains how to set-up the integration to sync patient demography from the Medtech Evolution software to DermEngine.

Once integration is enabled, patients on Medtech Evolution will be transferred to the DermEngine platform. On DermEngine, images and lesions can be added to each patient.

Requirements

• A Windows machine with Medtech Evolution Software installed
• The user needs to have permission to install Dynamic Icon Installer 

Installation Steps

1. Download the Dynamic Icon Installer-DermEngine.exe
2. Please follow the instructions provided under this guide
   

Transfer Patients

1. Once installation steps are completed, user will see the DermEngine integration in the ALEX Apps tabs from the toolbar.
   
   

2. After clicking on the DermEngine app, if the Medtech user is logged in for the first time, we show the DermEngine login screen and ask them to enter their credentials. Once they log in, the Medtech user will be linked with the DermEngine user, and we won’t ask for credentials for the next launch of the DermEngine ALEX app.

   If user belongs to multiple clinics we show the select clinic page:

3. After that, if no patient was selected on the Medtech app, User will be redirect to the home page on DermEngine, Otherwise, patient will be synced (create if doesn’t exist, update if it exists) and then redirect to the patient’s spots page. 
   
   

Import Timeline Reports to MedTech Evolution

1. To Export the timeline pdf report, go to timeline report and then click on EXPORT TO MEDTECH EVOLUTION. Once the report is exported, the successful message is shown.

   1. To verify go to Patient record on the MedTech system, search for the patient from where the timeline report is exported.
   2. Then click on patient record → Inbox → Check the exported reports
      
      
   3. Then click on one of the records to see the report. The timeline report is shown in the Medtech Evolution system.
