What's New In Digital Health

As we dive head first into the new year, we want to look back and thank you all for yet another great year!

Funding from PacifiCan "Business Scale Up & Productivity"
We began the new year with the Government of Canada (PacifiCan) announcing their $25.7 million investment in 10 Vancouver-based tech companies, including MetaOptima! This supported our venture and growth into the United States in 2023. 

Attending Conferences Far and Wide
We were grateful for the invitation to so many conferences, panels, and related events in dermatology and innovative healthcare this year. Thanks to the team and our clients, partners, and customers for always making a memorable trip. Here are a few snapshots of our team from over the year in conferences throughout the U.S. and Australia!

"Project Checkmate" Goes Live in Australia
Later in the year, we celebrated the successful popup skin check clinics across Australia and the use of our world class technology to detect skin cancer and save lives!

DermDx is our diagnostic support tool currently waiting for FDA approval. For the first time ever, it was used in this project and pilot study with the Skin Check Champions and the University of South Australia to build out a national skin check program, called Project Checkmate. This feature gives nurse practitioners and healthcare providers added confidence by providing the probability of statistical malignancy to their case. This means, more GP's can be empowered to perform skin checks with our intelligent algorithms, greatly serving the wider population in need of proactive skin care.

Most importantly, we were able to provide free, publicly available skin checks to Australians everywhere! We are proud to have our technology be part of something greater.

Continued Growth Throughout the Year
2023 was a year of continued growth for the business. We spent the rest of the year continuing to work on our mission, improving our technology, and celebrating small wins everyday. As we close out another year, we want to thank you for your continued support and interest in the business! From all of us here at MetaOptima, we look forward to a wonderful 2024 and to share more of our accomplishments and memories with you.
